Announcing The Next LPool AME - TimeRaiders

Get Ready For The Greatest NFT Treasure Hunt Of All Time!

On Friday we revealed the next project coming to Launchpool for an Allocation Mining Event (AME). TimeRaiders will be coming to Launchpool, in the past at a time in the future: January 2022.

Time Raiders is a fast-paced shoot and loot NFT game. Players travel through time to fight enemies and take their resources back to their own time, where they can be crafted into new items, sold to fund their activities, or used to power up their character and items.

Time Raiders joins the ranks of play-to-earn NFT games such as Axie Infinity and Zed Run that capture the attention of crypto gamers who want not just fun, but profit. The game is designed to surpass current gameplay quality and game narrative in the space. The loot that players collect through gameplay, as well as being used in the game itself, has actual real-world value and can be bought, sold, and traded.

BTC Proxy Token Migration, Grim Finance Hack, TON Lives!, and Jack is Unimpressed

🛫 BTC Proxy Token Migration 🛬

BTC Proxy – Medium

Due to the Ascendex hot wallet has been compromised, the BTC Proxy Team asked its users to remove all staking on their platform. They followed up on this by removing liquidity on Uniswap and Quickswap all in an effort to protect their token holders.

After these measures were taken, a “new” token contract was created on the Polygon network and holders of the “old“ tokens, were all airdropped the new version of the token. The Team happily announced that their token migration was a success!

Congratulations to the Team 🎉

😥 Grim Finance Hack 💸

DeFi protocol Grim Finance lost $30M in 5x reentrancy hack

In the last couple of months, there have been several reports of apparent security vulnerabilities in the popular Grim Finance security protocol. These vulnerabilities have allowed an attacker to manipulate the accounting records of a number of accounts, allowing them to make bogus investments and thereby generate fake profits. The value of these hacks have been estimated to already crossed US$30m.

💎 TON Lives! 💎

The Telegram created-and-then-shutdown network TON has found a new life in the Toncoin project. Telegram founder Paval Durov recently posted in his official telegram channel that he was happy to see the project survive in its new incarnation and that he has high hopes for it going into the future.

🤨 Jack Is Unimpressed 😒

You don’t own “web3.” The VCs and their LPs do. It will never escape their incentives. It’s ultimately a centralized entity with a different label. Know what you’re getting into…

Jack Dorsay, the former Twitter CEO and current Block CEO caused a stir in the crypto world after tweeting that web3 is too centralised and doesn’t fulfil its promise of a more egalitarian future.

Without a doubt Jack has a point that most crypto projects are unfairly distributed, however others have made some strong counters in response.

What do you think? Is web3 too centralised or are we on the verge of a decentralised breakthrough?
